Fresh information has emerged alleging that the Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu has been placed on Visa Ban Watchlist by the United States(US) Government.
It will be recalled that the US Government, on Monday said it imposed visa restrictions on Nigerians involved in undermining democracy during the November 2019 Kogi and Bayelsa states elections and in the run-up to the September and October 2020 Edo and Ondo states elections.
According to Sahara reporters, Akeredolu is currently on a watchlist and may receive a ban before or after the October 10 governorship elections in the state.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that politicians who are affected by the ban will have their families residing in the US deported back to Nigeria.
