NEC: Disobey directives and face dire consequences – Buhari warns APC members

President Muhammadu Buhari has warned all members of the All progressives Congress, APC, that there will be ‘dire consequences’ for anyone who disobeys the directives issued at the party National Executive Committee, NEC meeting in Abuja today.

The president had met with NEC members over the current crisis rocking the party. He expressed deep concerns warning that the party stands to lose a lot if the crisis is allowed to fester. He issued a resolution containing a set of directives to be carried out immediately in order to repair the fractured relationships within the party.

Speaking during the meeting, the President said;

“The meeting may adopt the developed resolution as contained in the agenda and pass resolutions including approving the Immediate discontinuation of all pending litigations involving the party and its members; ratifying the primary election conducted in Edo State; dissolving the current National Working Committee, and appointing caretaker/Extra-ordinary   Convention Planning committee for the party.”

He added; “The directive had been issued before, unfortunately, some members failed to heed the directive. Thus, at this time, it must be made a Resolution of the Party which must be effectively enforced with dire consequences for members who choose to ignore the directive.’”
