The newly appointed Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Farouk Yahaya has paid his last respect to his predecessor and former COAS, Ibrahim Attahiru who died in a plane crash in Kaduna last friday.
Attahiru and 10 other military officers perished in the ill-fated crash.
Yahaya signed the condolence register at Theatre Commander of the Counter Insurgency military outfit in the North East code-named Operation HADIN KAI, headquarters in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri, Borno State.
Major General Farouk Yahaya was appointed on Thursday by President Muhammadu Buhari as the 22nd Chief Of Army Staff and will assume office today at the Army Headquarters in Abuja.
