Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, has given the green light for the payment of April salaries to civil servants in the state.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the decision, which takes immediate effect, was made known in a statement signed by the Acting Head of Service, Safiyanu Garba-Bena, and made available to the press on Friday.
Garba-Bena noted that the governor’s directive was aimed at ensuring that civil servants and pensioners could celebrate the upcoming Sallah festival with minimal financial stress.
The Acting Head of Service also revealed that several banks have already begun releasing salary alerts to workers in compliance with the governor’s instructions.
