2023 presidency: Kwankwaso speaks on PDP membership

Following the launch of a Third Force on Tuesday, a former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, says he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kwankwaso yesterday announced the formation of a Third Force, under the aegis of The National Movement (TNM), thereby lightening the political temper of Nigeria towards the 2023 Presidency.

Others in the team with him include Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi of Kaduna State; former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung; ruling government critic, Buba Galadima; and other prominent Nigerians.

According to them, the Third Force would take over power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.

The TNM said it was conscious of its strong duties to save Nigeria from disintegration.

Asked by Seun Okinbaloye, in an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today if he is still a member of the PDP, Kwankwaso said, “I’m a member of the PDP, and in the group, you have many people from the APC, others from APGA, even other political parties.

“Some people have no party at all. We decided as Nigerians, especially those of us that are worried in terms of security, in terms of education, in terms of the polity, and of course infrastructure, and so on and so forth.”
