Ex-aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has refuted the allegations claiming Nigeria Air is a fraudulent venture.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Ahmad dismissed the notion and emphasised that the Aviation Ministry had duly completed all the necessary paperwork required to launch the airline.
Furthermore, he said operational offices have already been established, signalling substantial progress.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Ahmad declared, “NigeriaAir is NOT a fraud. The Aviation Ministry has made significant strides towards its realisation. We have unveiled the branding, secured partnerships and agreements, obtained most of the essential operational certificates, and opened operational offices. NigeriaAir will take flight, showcasing Nigeria’s pride.”
Ahmad’s statement comes in response to the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation’s accusation that Nigeria Air is a fraudulent scheme.
The committee not only denounced the project but also called for the suspension of the airline by the Federal Government.
