Barr. Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that Nigeria has arisen under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, Morka dismissed concerns over the emergence of a new opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), insisting the APC is not jittery.
He said: “We are not jittery because the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is the leader of our party, is doing exactly what Nigerians elected him to do.
“He is standing tall and standing strong for Nigeria. He is voting with all fingers of his hands for the progress and prosperity of Nigerians.
“This president, unlike any other before him, decided upon his swearing in that some of the most acerbic challenges confronting our country must be addressed with total devotion.”
He accused the newly formed coalition of making “pre-determined judgments” about Tinubu’s administration, noting that critics began condemning the government within its first few days in office.
“These individuals had already decided, by themselves and in their own interests, that this president has not met Nigerians’ expectations. That is all dubious and bogus,” he said.
Morka described the coalition leaders as the very architects of Nigeria’s long-standing problems.
“These are the architects of Nigeria’s economic stagnation, underdevelopment, corruption, and poverty, the same people who now parade themselves as saviours under a new coalition.
“But Nigeria is no longer on its knees. They brought Nigeria to its knees. But by virtue of this president’s commitment, Nigeria has arisen.
“This president has chosen to put Nigeria first, even at the cost of popularity.
“When he puts Nigeria first, he puts Nigerians first. That is why we are not concerned about any kind of coalition, whether under the ADC or any other name,” he stated.
