A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, says President Bola Tinubu has set Nigeria on the right trajectory of leadership within his first three days in office.
In a series of tweets via his official Twitter handle on Thursday, Garba noted that Tinubu’s decision to remove the “cancerous” petrol subsidy was in Nigeria’s best interest.
The controversial Twitter influencer commended the president for “expunging the rent-seeking multiple exchange rate” by implementing unified N630 per dollar.
“He [Tinubu] read a riot act to the Service Chiefs and took charge of the command with a new approach. If you are yet to believe that we are comfortably on the right track with the Tinubu administration, then have a very long night sleep,” Garba said.
Politics Nigeria recalls that Garba had dumped the APC over the high cost of the party’s presidential expression of interest form fixed at N100 million.
He raised a total of N83 million before decamping to the Young Progressive Party (YPP) where he failed to secure the party’s ticket.
Garba returned to the APC in July 2022.
