The Super Eagles of Nigeria played out a 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea on Sunday at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan in their first game in AFCON 2023.
All goals of the encounter were scored in the first half.
Ivan Edu Salvador of Equatorial Guinea scored first, drawing an almost instant equaliser by Victor Osimhen.
One highlight of the match is Victor Osimhen’s agonising miss in the 75th minute. Nigeria’s next game is against hosts Cote D’Ivoire on Thursday.
