The Nigerian Immigration Service on Friday, May 30, handed over the Enugu-born ‘killer native doctor’, Obi Obieze Levi to the Nigeria Police Force.
Levi, a native of Umuojor village in Isiagu community, Enugu State was arrested by officers of the NIS on Thursday, May 29, at the Seme Border while trying to flee from the country after he was accused of killing and burying some people including pregnant women in his house.
He was also declared wanted in Enugu over his connection with the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl on May 27.
The native doctor’s residence has since been demolished by the Enugu State government as part of the state’s drive to go hard on kidnappers, killers and ritualists in the state.
Receiving the suspect from the NIS, the Police in Lagos State said an investigation into some of the alleged atrocities committed by the native doctor is ongoing.
The spokesperson for the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin in a post on X said, Levi was handed over to the force at its headquarters in Ikeja.
Hundeyin also wrote on X, “ONGOING: @nigimmigration, Lagos State Command hands over suspect wanted in Enugu State, Obi Levi Obieze, to @LagosPoliceNG at the Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
“The suspect was arrested at Seme Border,” he added.
