Social media reports that the Nigerian Military has arrested Bello Turji, the notorious bandit leaders operating in the North West region of the country has been dismissed.
The news was debunked by the Defence Headquarters on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
According to the reports, Turji, a wanted was captured by troops of Operation Fasan Yamma in the North West region of Nigeria.
Major General Edward Buba, the director of defence media operations, said that all news regarding the capture of Turji are fake and should be disregarded.
He said, “All news regarding the arrest of Bello Turji by troops should be treated as fake news, please.”
