Lagos Election: President-elect, Tinubu casts vote in Ikeja [PHOTOS]

The president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Saturday morning, cast his vote in his polling unit at Alausa in Ikeja, Lagos state.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the incoming Nigerian leader cast his vote alongside his wife, Remi.

Addressing reporters, Tinubu, a former governor of the state and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will win despite the challenge posed by the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to him, he voted smoothly.

Accreditation and voting have commenced in many polling units across 28 states in Nigeria as the 87.2 million voters with Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) go to the polls to elect a new governor and members of the state House of Assembly.

Officials of the country’s electoral agency, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are on ground at the thousands of polling units scattered across the 28 states where voting is happening today (Saturday).
