A professor of Political Science and a former director of the Center for Democracy and Development (CDD), Jibrin Ibrahim, has explained why Nigerians are protesting.
Ibrahim who spoke during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, said governance in Nigeria was collapsing because the present administration has failed in its promises to the people.
He added that with the growing inflation, Nigerians across states in the country were starving.
His words, “When you are told continuously that you will see them and you wait for weeks, months and a year and nothing is coming. You know that what you are told is just a narrative not based on reality.
According to Ibrahim, Nigerians are very upset with the government and that can be seen in the people’s recent actions.
“That is why Nigerians are very upset. They are very angry. They are being deceived regularly and systematically by a government that feels that it can tell stories and we survive.
“We refuse to do what we need to do but we survive because we tell stories that will cover up. And Nigerians said no you can’t tell stories,” Ibrahim noted.
When you listened to this man speaks on Channels TV news you will come to the conclusion that agrees with my stand on elites as being part, if not root cause of our national menace.
IT WAS SAME BOXED RHETORIC, EMPTY NARRATIVES BORN IN HOGWASH.
Every iterated nonsense they listed as solution are the same exact programs already put in place by the Tinubu government.
You then want to wonder if these professors, co called have enough comprehension of the problems for the appropriate solutions.
JUST A BUNCH OF CONFUSED PROFESSIONALS. IF INDEED THEY ARE.
