Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has made predictions about the Nigerian economy, stating that it will not see improvement this year.
According to a statement from his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele attributed the challenges to both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but noted that the APC has a more significant share in the issues faced by the country.
Primate Ayodele expressed his belief that President Bola Tinubu cannot perform any sudden magic to turn around the economic situation.
He criticized the government’s initiatives, pointing to the sale of rice by Customs for N10,000 as a failed effort due to poor organization.
The spiritual leader highlighted the failure of the APC and PDP, emphasizing that things would not improve in the current year.
He mentioned that if there were any improvements, they would likely be toward the end of the following year.
Primate Ayodele stressed the need for sincere prayers and cautioned that the situation might only improve with appropriate government actions.
The spiritual leader urged the government to collaborate with local manufacturers and emphasized the importance of agriculture in economic recovery.
The statement quoted him as saying:
“Let us be sincere with ourselves: both APC and PDP have failed Nigeria, but the highest percentage goes to APC. The blame is on Tinubu because the situation got worse when it got to his turn.
Nigerians should be aware that things will not get better this year. Tinubu cannot perform any magic, and if at all things want to get better, it will be towards the end of next year.”
