Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has spoken on the victory of Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki over the All Progressives Congress, APC and its candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu in court today.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Obaseki was dragged to court over forgery and presenting a ‘fake’ university certificate. A federal high court in Abuja on Saturday dismissed the suit adding that Obaseki was qualified to contest for the election and possessed a valid certificate.
Atiku, in a statement via social media, wrote; “I congratulate @GovernorObaseki for his victory in the frivolous suit brought against him for certificate forgery.”
“Kudos to our great party @OfficialPDPNig and the good people of Edo State for standing firmly by the governor, and protecting their electoral mandate from being torpedoed by anti-democratic forces.”
