Aloy Ejimakor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has dismissed some recent quotes credited to the pro-Biafra group leader.
It was claimed that rearrested Kanu, who is presently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), asked Biafra agitators to destroy Nigeria.
The report also claimed that Kanu said he is being starved, electrocuted and tortured in DSS custody.
But reacting to the publication via his known Twitter handle on Thursday, Ejimakor said the message is false. According to him, “I met Onyendu several times & he never uttered such words.”
“DISCLAIMER: Several persons have sent me the message below, asking if it’s true. Well, my answer is this: It’s NOT TRUE. I met Onyendu several times & he NEVER uttered such words. Pls be guided. Thank you,” Ejimakor wrote.
POLITICS NIGERIA understands that Kanu’s legal team met him on Thursday at the DSS headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
