Aloy Ejimakor Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has arrived at the Federal High Court, Abuja for the trial of his client.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kanu’s case is coming up on Tuesday (today) before Justice Binta Nyako.
The IPOB leader is standing trial over alleged terrorism.
“I’ve arrived Federal High Court, Abuja to #FreeNnamdiKanu. May the landmark victory recorded in Umuahia be crowned in Abuja today. So help us God!” Ejimakor wrote on his known Twitter handle.
Also expected to be in court to defend Kanu are Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor; Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh (SAN); and Chief Mike Ozekhome (Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN), leader of the defence counsel for Kanu.
Since his arrest in Kenya in June 2021, Kanu has appeared in court multiple times. He has been held up in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja, the Nigerian capital city.
