The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has identified the reason for the recent fuel scarcity across parts of the country and has revealed a solution to the problem.
According to NNPCL, the fuel scarcity is a result of distribution challenges.
The company’s spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
“The NNPC Ltd regrets the tightness in fuel supply witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT, which is a result of distribution challenges,” the statement read.
NNPCL assured that it is working around the clock with relevant stakeholders to restore normalcy to the fuel supply chain.
“The company further urges motorists to shun panic buying as it is working round the clock with relevant stakeholders to restore normalcy,” the statement added.
