The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Yusha’u Ahmed, has emphasized to Corps members that there is no room for relocation, urging them to be prepared to serve anywhere they are posted within Nigeria.
He cautioned against seeking redeployment and encouraged Corps members to settle down and contribute to the growth and development of their assigned state.
Brigadier-General Ahmed highlighted the importance of respecting the culture and traditions of the host community, urging Corps members to embrace peaceful coexistence and resilience as they contribute to the development of the communities where they are posted.
He also expressed confidence that many Corps members would choose to remain in their assigned states even after completing their service.
He noted that the directive is part of the NYSC’s commitment to instilling a sense of national unity and integration among Corps members, fostering cultural exchange, and contributing to the country’s overall development.
His words: “I urge you to respect the culture & traditions of your host community.
“Remain peaceful and resilient as you add value to the community you’re posted to. I’m sure many of you will choose to remain here after your service.”
