Ngozi Chiemeke, a soaring Nollywood actress, was shot and killed in Delta State’s Ika North Local Government Area.
The news of the actress’s untimely death has put the entire neighborhood, including her family, friends, and fans, into disarray and sadness, with individuals observing and discussing the incident in gatherings. They still can’t believe that Chiemeke could be a victim of a shooting.
According to reports, the actress was shot dead in her Point Of Sale, POS, shop on Deeper Life Road, in Boji Boji, Owa, Ika North Local Government Area of Delta State on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
Eyewitnesses told the media, they heard gunshots and went to the noise source but the shooters had gone before they arrived.
At the time of reporting this article, the circumstances and motives surrounding the unfortunate tragedy were still unknown. The incident was filed to the Boji-Boji Owa Divisional Police Station in Owa-Oyibu headquarters of the Ika North East local government region and for now, the body was said to have been placed at a local mortuary.
DSP Bright Edafe, the state Police Public Relations Officer, verified the actress’s death. He stated, “The young woman was killed by unknown men but efforts are on to arrest the perpetrators.”
