A former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday joined in mourning Nomthi Odukoya, wife of the senior pastor of Lagos-based Fountain of Life Church Taiwo Odukoya.
A day after the church announced that Nomthi Odukoya died following a battle with cancer for two years, Atiku posted a message of comfort on social media.
“I am profoundly saddened by the death of Pastor Nomthi Odukoya, the wife of Snr Pastor @pastortaiwo of The Fountain of Life Church. On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to the Odukoya family, friends & loved ones and pray that her soul finds a gentle repose,” Atiku’s tweet reads.
Many have described Nomthi as a lovable.
She was married to Odukoya for 11 years in a union that produced two children.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was first married to Bimbo Odukoya, a woman who ran a Singles and Married series, before she died from injuries sustained in a plane crash in 2005.
