The governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, on Sunday, August 18, denied knowledge of the contract said to have been recently awarded for the supply of drugs to 44 different local government areas of the state.
Yusuf made this disclosure in a statement jointly signed by the Commissioner for Information, Baba Dantiye and the Director-General, Media and Publicity to the governor, Sanusi Bature,
The statement said, ”The Governor, therefore, directed the Executive Chairman, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) to immediately investigate the allegation and report the outcome for further necessary action.”
The governor also urged the people of Kano State to exercise patience pending the outcome of the investigation.
