“Nothing new in Michael Achimugu’s ‘exposé'” – Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election has seemingly admitted to a controversial tape linked to him.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku was accused of corruption made by a former aide, Michael Achimugu.

Achimugu recently made some claims on social media that Atiku used the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) scheme to collect funds from a former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, who was convicted for misappropriation of the Ecological Fund. Dariye has since been pardoned by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Atiku served as vice president between 1999 and 2007, the same period Dariye served as governor.

Furthermore, the whistleblower released a voice record—purportedly to be a recorded conversation between him and the former Vice President.

“All corrupt allegations against me have been investigated in this country, more than anybody else and nothing was found against me,” Atiku said in an interview with BBC News Pidgin, published on Tuesday.

When asked if the audio was his voice, he replied: “That audio has disclosed nothing new.”

  1. AN ADMISSION OF GUILT, YOU WOULD SAY.

Firstly, it was claimed to be nothing bugger or lies. Now it is nothing new.

THE DEFENSE OF FRAUD AND CORRUPTION CONTINUES WITH INDEFENSIBLE PROJECTIONS, SINCE IT IS HAS LOST ALL COATS FOR COVER.
