“Obidients will damage and destroy Peter Obi” – Buhari’s aide warns

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has received a warning about the behaviour of his followers, popularly referred to as “Obidients.”

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communication, has claimed that Obi’s supporters are causing damage to his reputation both domestically and internationally.

According to Ahmad, the actions of the Obidients are steadily diminishing Obi’s chances of ever regaining his alleged stolen mandate.

In a tweet, the presidential aide suggested that Obidients could soon irreparably harm Obi’s political career.

He wrote: “No matter how people see it, Peter Obi’s so-called supporters, the headless mob, are damaging him at home and abroad and making his chances slimmer daily.

“He may not see it now until they destroy him beyond redemption. As for us, politically, we love to see it. That’s politics.”

Currently, Obi is engaged in a legal challenge at the Presidential election tribunal, where he is contesting the victory of President-elect Bola Tinubu. Despite finishing third, the Labour Party flagbearer has consistently maintained that he was the rightful winner of the presidential election, but that his victory was unjustly taken from him.
