A member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Damilare Bello Mohammed, has been arrested for allegedly harbouring cultists in his home after a bloody clash in Sagamu.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the lawmaker, who represents Sagamu State Constituency (1), was arrested in a sting operation by the Department of State Services (DSS) after a tip-off from members of the public.
Five other suspects were also arrested in the operation, and dangerous weapons, including guns, were recovered from them.
The arrest of Bello and the other suspects is coming months after the DSS arrested him for masterminding a violent protest in Sagamu over the naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
During the protest, irate youths vandalised about ten banks and other public infrastructures.
