Ahead of the October 10 governorship election in Ondo state, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede, has visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta residence.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Saturday, the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice said he met with Obasanjo to seek his support and blessings in order to win the forthcoming election.
The PDP candidate said he is seeking to contest the election again because God asked him to challenge the All Progressives Congress candidate, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Jegede, who had lost the 2016 governorship poll to Akeredolu, would slug it out again and hopes to emerge the winner in the forthcoming poll.
He wrote: “Seeking support of the elders, the next 63 days will no doubt be decisive, we will succeed. God our help!”
