The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi has issued a statement after state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
Ajayi, in a statement via his twitter profile urged the people of Ondo state to pray for Akeredolu’s speedy recovery adding that he will overcome.
“I receive the news that the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN tests positive for the Coronavirus with great empathy and compassion.”
“He is relieved by the disclosure of Mr Governor that he’s asymptomatic and feeling good in the self-isolation. I urge all the good people of Ondo State to pray for Mr Governor’s quickest recovery and general wellbeing. Health is not something to play politics with and as such craves the cooperation of all at this period.”
“It’s our fervent prayer that the Governor will overcome this to continue to pilot the affairs of the State for the progress and prosperity of all.”
