One person has been confirmed dead in a violent street fight between motorcycle riders and some thugs in Baruwa-Gate area of Ipaja, Lagos State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that although the actual cause of the fight was not known, the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident.
The killer and other suspects have been arrested while patrols of the area is going on as of the time of publishing this report.
The Rapid Response Unit of the Lagos State Police Command while providing an update on the occurrence wrote in its official Facebook page on Monday afternoon: “Our officers responded to the violent fights that broke out in Baruwa/Gate area of Ipaja this morning.
“Calm has been restored to the area. One person was confirmed dead.
“The killer and other suspects have been arrested while intensive patrols of the area is going on.
“Lagosians are urged to go about their lawful duties, especially in the axis as their safety and security is being made top priority.”
Authorities in Lagos have always warned against causing chaos in the state, adding that anyone caught would be dealt with according to the law.
