Activities have been lined up for a 16-day celebration of Ademola Adeleke’s second anniversary as the governor of Osun State.
The Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Teslim Igbalaye unveiled the line up of event ahead of the anniversary day proper.
According to Igbalaye, Governor Adeleke has done well in terms of delivering services and good governance to the people of Osun State.
He said the activities for the commemoration of the governor’s second anniversary will begin with a side health walk, novelty match, Jumaat, church service, presentation of state awards, and project commissioning.
He added that some of the events that would be held during the celebrations.
Some special guest of honour would would commission projects completed by the Adeleke include a former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo and the governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde.
Others include, the minister of works, David Umahi who would perform the turning of sod for some new projects alongside Governor Adeleke.
The statement said, “Some of the activities lined up include: Jumaat service, novelty football match, executive versus legislature, church service, and commissioning of Old Garage-Oke Fia Dual Carriage by ex President Olusegun Obasanjo.
“Presentation of bond certificates to contributory pensioners and presentation of award to Governor Adeleke by the contributory pensioners would also be held.
“There will also be commissioning of Osogbo Ring Road by Governor Makinde, as well as, foundation laying for Airport project by the Minister of Aviation/Works,” Igbalaye said.
