In a fresh jab at his predecessor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has accused former governor and current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of being all talk and no action.
Speaking at a recent event, Fubara said, “We are accountants, We are not lawyers, who will talk talk talk and use talk to full house dem no go fit do one thing, Our own is one talk, Quick to action.”
Aside from being a prominent politician, Wike is a known lawyer.
The statement comes amid escalating tensions between the two politicians, which has already led to the defection of 27 lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Following that, the governor ordered the demolition of the Assembly Complex, citing the need to rebuild after a suspicious “arson attack” on October 29th.
The governor and the minister of the FCT are reportedly in a battle over the control of the state’s political structure.
