“Our people’ll give Tinubu a warm welcome”- Plateau Gov

The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang on Friday said he was confident that his people would give President Bola Tinubu a warm and rousing welcome.

Mutfwang gave the assurance during the Distinguished Alumni Lecture of the University of Jos which was delivered by the Attorney General of the Federation,  Lateef Fagbemi.

Politics Nigeria gathered that President Tinubu is billed to visit Plateau State on Saturday for the burial of the mother of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda.

According to Mutfwang, Tinubu’s visit to the state will allow the president the opportunity to appreciate Plateau and its people.

His words, “Tomorrow, we will be receiving Mr. President in Jos, Plateau State, as he comes to honour our late mother, the mother of my dear brother, the National Chairman of the APC.”

Also boasting about some of the human and natural resources in the state, the governor said Plateau remains one of the best places to live in Nigeria.

“We cannot realise our full potential if we continue to pull one another down. We must remain our brothers’ keepers and work collectively to bring Plateau to the place of honour that God has destined for us,” he said.

Mutfwang commended the AGF for delivering a sound and impeccable lecture at the event.

He said Fagbemi, through his lecture offered valuable insights into the roles of technology in shaping the nation’s justice delivery system.
