The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently meeting in Abuja to discuss the state of the party.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the meeting is being held at the National Executive Committee Hall of the party’s national secretariat.
In attendance are the BoT’s acting chairman, former Senate President Adolphus Wabara; his predecessor, Walid Jibrin; former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi; former Minister of Special Duties and Inter Governmental Affairs Tanimu Turaki; and other members of the BoT.
The meeting is expected to discuss a number of issues regarding the party. The PDP has been in a state of flux since its defeat in the 2015 general elections, with the recent being the open support its members gave to candidates of other political parties during the 2023 general elections.
A communique is expected to be issued at the end of the meeting.
