Abdul-Azeez Adediran, the 2023 governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos has said that the party lacks the structure needed to win elections in the state.
Adeniran popularly known as Jandor also said that the PDP cannot win any election in Lagos State.
According to Jandor who recently defected to the APC from PDP, the opposition party would continue to lose elections in Lagos due to its weak grassroots structure.
He said this after he cast his vote at the Lagos Local Government Council elections at the Polling Unit 001, Ward D, Irewe, a riverine community in Ojo area of the state.
“While in the PDP we came with fresh ideas and we did our best, but could not make headway because the PDP as a party is rarely known at the grassroots.
“APC as a party in Lagos State has over the years built strong grassroots structures. The party is a household name in every community.
”Based on this, people like us, with a host of followers, joined the train to build on the legacies of previous leaders rather than stay in opposition,” Jandor said.
He further commended President Bola Tinubu for laying a strong foundation for the APC, its progress and sustainability in the state.
