The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has responded to a subpoena issued by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku and the PDP had called upon the INEC chairman to present certain crucial documents before the Presidential Election Petition Court.
This move came as part of their ongoing legal battle regarding the presidential election.
During the court session held on Thursday, Chris Uche, the legal representative for the petitioners, informed the court that Yakubu was being represented by Morenikeji Tahiru, Deputy Director of the Certification and Complaints, Legal Drafting, and Clearance Department.
