The Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State on Saturday, August 17, won all the 20 chairmanship seats in the just concluded Local Government elections.
The chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC), Ahmed Makama, while announcing the result said the polls conducted were peaceful across the state.
Makama said, “For the chairmanship election, PDP won all the 20 seats as declared at the local government levels.
“And for the Councillors, the results were declared in the wards with other parties emerging victorious.”
He also added that winners of the LG polls in the state will be issued their certificates of return on Sunday, August 18.
