Peter Obi, GRV pay condolence visit to late Doyin Okupe’s family [PHOTOS]

Peter Obi, the 2023, presidential candidate for the Labour Party on Friday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Doyin Okupe.
Okupe, who died the morning of Friday, March 7, served as the director-general of the Labour Party’s 2023 Campaign Organisation before jumping ship to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
According to family sources, Okupe, who had been diagnosed of prostrate cancer 16 years ago and sarcoma died at the age of 72 during a surgery in a Lagos hospital.
Obi visited the Okupe family alongside the 2023 LP’s governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour,
In a photo post made on X, Obi wrote, “Following the sad news of the death of my dear elder brother, late Dr Doyin Okupe and my earlier tweet today, I visited his family this evening to offer my heartfelt condolences.
“I assured them that we will stand by them during this difficult time. While no one can question God’s will, we must continue to support and stand by one another, especially in time of grief.
“Once again, may Almighty God grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss, and may the soul of Dr. Doyin Okupe rest in perfect peace,” he added.
