The Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, has come under fire after accusing supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of embarking on a campaign of calumny against political opponents.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Okoya-Thomas made the claim while appearing on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Wednesday.
She said: “One thing I like about Atiku Abubakar is that he does not embark on this campaign of calumny like ‘Obidients’.”
Jumoke Okoya-Thomas also said Joe Biden, the US President, epitomises the fact that age or health status is secondary compared to the intellect of a leader.
She also stated that Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC, jetting out for medical attention is normal, as she also flies out when unwell too.
However, her remarks on national issues were largely met with antagonism by Twitter commenters. See some comments below:

“This woman contradicted the so-called cancer campaign she claimed to hold up for women, she had no answer for maternal health issues instead she claimed that WHO’s statistics were wrong and unrealistic! She claimed that ASUU was simply being political, she dodged the question of primary health care for women.

Kura Phaeren said: “Jumoke Okoya-Thomas is the type of politician Nigerians want to get rid of in the next general elections. Politician that can not provide evidence to substantiate her claims.

Jumoke Okoya Thomas is an epitome of a failed female politician who during her tenure did not sponsor or co-sponsor any bill throughout her tenure.
She never Carr for women friendly programs and yet she has the audacity to come to Arise TV to blab against the Obidients.
Her reference to President Joe Biden shows her lack of comparative analysis because Biden has never been out of office for health maintenance despite being older than Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is drug dependent and drug baron and an exconvict at Chicago USA.
She should tell us who is Late Abibat Tinubu and her daughter Bola Tinubu who also died before she could travel abroad.. It was the Late daughter’s passport that Bola TINUBU impersonated and has been using for all his travels.

I listened to this woman on Arise TV talking thrash. She could not answer a single question thrown to her by the interviewers. She was just talking like a woman fighting her fellow woman in the market place. I was very ashamed and bogged listening to her pointless and arrogant responses. APC should package their presenters with facts and figures before allowing them to go on such interviews. Of course, it’s not Jumoke’s fault. She was trying to sell a bad commodity which is a very onerous task.
