Bashir El-Rufai, one of sons of a former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has surprisingly described Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party as ‘a good person’.
In a post shared on X, Bashir said Obi is not a bad person after all.
His post comes barely hours after his father, a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory jumped ship from the All Progressives Congress to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
A strong critic of Obi, El-Rufai also announced that his views about the LP’s 2023 presidential candidate have changed.
He said, “Peter Obi is surprisingly not a bad person after all. My views on him have changed recently. My mind was poisoned by my former party members.
“Sai Obi !” Bashir wrote on X.
The post by Bashir has further raised concerns as to whether Obi would be joining El-Rufai’s new party, SDP, in preparation for the 2024 general election.
