Peter Obi pays condolence visit to Late Na’Abba’s family in Kano

The Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, on Saturday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late House of Representatives Speaker Ghali Na’Abba.

Na’Abba, who represented Kano Municipal Federal Constituency in the green chamber diedied on Wednesday after a protracted illness.

Writing on the visit on his X page, Obi stated: I was in Kano State today with my brother, Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed to condole with the family of Late Hon Ghali Umar Na’Abba, former who passed on recently.

”Before his death, Na’Abba served our dear nation as the 8th Speaker of House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003.

”He was known for his courage and firmness in the discharge of his legislative duties. I remember meeting him severally and we would discuss the challenges of our nation. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones in this difficult time.

”May God Almighty forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest and grant his family, the good people of Kano State and all of us who mourn him, the fortitude to bear his loss.”
