Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has finally spoken on the appointment of Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike as chairman of the PDP Edo Guber campaign Council.
Obi, a former vice presidential candidate of the party, took to Twitter on Sunday to congratulate Wike over his new appointment. He expressed confidence that Wike’s leadership will bring victory to the party.
He wrote; “Congratulations, Your Excellency Gov Nyesom Wike on your appointment as Chairman of @OfficialPDPNig Edo State Governorship Election National Campaign Council. I am confident that your leadership in conjunction with the outstanding team, will assure victory for our great party.-PO”
Wike will be heading all efforts of the opposition party to win a second term for Governor Godwin Obaseki in the upcoming Edo Guber elections scheduled for September. Obaseki will be battling against his major rival, Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All progressives Congress, APC.
