“Peter Obi rigged the 2023 election, not Tinubu” – Asari Dokubo

Niger Delta activist, Mujahid Asari Dokubo, has said Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, “rigged” the poll.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Obi and Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are contesting the February 25 election which produced Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the president-elect. While Atiku emerged second, Obi came third in the election. Both men allege rigging and are challenging the outcome of the election in court.

Speaking in a Facebook Live on Monday monitored by the newspaper, Dokubo, a supporter of the APC and staunch critic of Obi stated that the former Anambra governor has no moral right to complain.

“The elections all over the country has exposed that the person who rigged the election was Peter Obi. The results are very clear.

“If they look at the election well, he cannot score two million votes. In a free and fair election, even in Anambra, Obi will not win,” Dokubo said.
