The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has finally met with Muhammed Sanusi, the ousted Emir of Kano.
Mr El-Rufai got to Sanusi’s residence at about 12:46 p.m. in a convoy of about six security and official vehicles.
Journalists are barred from accessing the house where Mr Sanusi is kept.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Mr El-Rufai appointed Mr Sanusi into two offices including as the chancellor of the Kaduna State University after he was deposed.
Earlier today, a federal court in Abuja ordered security operatives to release Mr Sanusi from ‘illegal’ detention.
