POLITICS NIGERIA has learnt that at least four members of the so-called unknown gunmen have been arrested in Oko community and Ekwulobia in Aguata local council area of Anambra State.
The suspects, including a female, are linked to the series of attacks on security formations, personnel, and citizens.
Exhibits recovered from them include a Biafran flag, police beret, web belts, charms, arms, two pairs of Eastern Security Network (ESN) uniforms, among others.
This newspaper learnt that the arrest was achieved last week when security operatives ambushed the hoodlums who had kidnapped a civilian.
During shootout, one of the gunmen, identified as Chinedu Ajogu a.k.a Sampolo, was gunned down. There was no casualty on the side of Nigerian security forces.
Furthermore, this news medium was told that arrests have been made in the different camps and meeting venue from where the unknown gunmen take off to carry out their nefarious activities.
