The police command in Lagos has rescued a nine-year-old boy (name withheld), the youngest among eight other children, from cult initiation in Lagos.
The nine male children, a 14-year-old being the oldest, were said to have been rescued in the Mushin area of Lagos.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, confirmed this on Thursday, August 10, saying the investigation was still ongoing.
Hundeyin advised the public that the family unit needed to be strengthened.
“We need to strengthen the family unit!
“Nine children, the youngest being nine years old, and the oldest, 14, were rescued during and after forced initiation into cultism in the Mushin area of Lagos State. Investigation is ongoing.”
