Popular Plateau clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that Fulani bandits attacked a hospital in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, abducted female patients, and raped only the Christian girls while sparing their Muslim counterparts.

Rev. Dachomo, who serves as the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, made the shocking revelation in a video shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

He narrated that the attackers stormed the hospital around 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, heavily armed with AK-47 rifles, machetes, and swords.

According to him, the assailants dragged the girls—mostly patients receiving treatment into nearby rocky areas where they were held hostage.

They didn’t touch their fellow members of Islam. They isolated our Christian girls and raped them for more than eight hours,” he said in the video.

The cleric explained that one of the victims was not even admitted but had come to the hospital to care for her sick mother. She was also abducted and subjected to the same brutal treatment.

He added that the girls were later released and returned to the hospital at midnight, crying for help and in severe pain.

Medical personnel at the facility reportedly rushed to their aid, offering emergency treatment to stabilize them.

Rev. Dachomo described the attack as a deliberate attempt to persecute Christians, alleging that such incidents have become part of a wider pattern of targeted assaults in Plateau communities.

That was another deliberate blueprint to deal with Christians,” he lamented. “The same Fulani jihadists also kidnapped the wife of one of our brothers, Reverend Zephaniah Mangut, on the same day. This is the life of a Christian in Nigeria.”
