Nigerian writer, Tobe Osigwe, Tobe Osigwe,on Monday said he encountered the so-called ‘Unknown Gunmen’ in Nnewi, Anambra State, earlier this month.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Osigwe said the “short, surreal and sick” encounter with the hoodlums was close to the family residence of the leader of the breakaway Republic of Biafra, late Odumegwu Ojukwu.
He noted that the police officers have disappeared from southeast roads, advising residents to “stay at home”.
“Two weeks today, about 16.37PM I ran into the dreaded Unknown Gunmen at St. Stephen Church Umudim. Just in front of Ojukwu’s family house. The experience was short, surreal and sick.
“All I can say authoritatively is that the Police also observe Sit At Home. Today is another Monday, you may not be as lucky as I was. Be like the Police. Stay at home. This phase shall pass someday. And Ala Igbo shall find sense, peace and progress!” Osigwe wrote on his known Facebook page.
