Popular Plateau Businessman Speaks on His Interest in 2027 Presidency

Dr. Muhammad Shansudeen Lamido, a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur, has denied any plans to run for president in 2027.

He made this known in a statement released to journalists on Monday.

Lamido distanced himself from political campaign materials circulating in his name and has urged those responsible to cease.

Lamido, an international entrepreneur from Adamawa State, said that he had not authorized or consented to the creation and dissemination of campaign posters, jingles, banners, billboards, and other promotional materials soliciting his candidacy for the presidency.

“I wish to address a pressing matter,” Lamido stated. “I am compelled to dissociate myself from the numerous political campaign materials circulating in my name. I categorically declare that I have not authorized or consented to their creation and dissemination.”

Lamido assured the public that if he were to consider a political career in the future, he would make a formal announcement.
