President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the Lagos-Ibadan standard guage today in Lagos state.
The 157km double track Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge named after a former governor of the state, Mobolaji Johnson will make transportation of people and goods faster, easier and cheaper.
Present at the inauguration were three ministers, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, representatives from the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu and the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo.
The President arrived the venue of the inauguration in Ebutte-Metta via helicopter at exactly10.25 am. He expressed happiness that the project was inaugurated during his tenure.
