President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for crucial appointments and redeployments within the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
The approved changes, awaiting confirmation by the Nigerian Senate, include:
- Mr. Bashir Indabawa (NW) – appointed as the Executive Commissioner for Exploration and Acreage Management.
- Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu (SE) – redeployed to serve as the Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services & Administration.
- Mr. Enorense Amadasu (SS) – appointed as the Executive Commissioner for Development & Production.
- Mr. Babajide Fasina (SW) – designated as the Executive Commissioner for Economic Regulation & Strategic Planning.
This reshuffling, according to Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President for Media & Publicity, is part of the President’s strategic vision to cultivate a regulatory environment that discourages misconduct and champions adherence to rules and industry diligence.
