President Tinubu Arrives in New York for UN General Assembly [VIDEO]

President Bola Tinubu arrived in New York on Sunday evening for his first official appearance as the President of Nigeria at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Tinubu will address world leaders in the evening on Tuesday, at approximately 6 PM local time, with his inaugural statement to the Assembly.

He will be the fifth African leader to speak on day one of the gathering and the 14th speaker out of the 20 leaders scheduled to speak on Tuesday.

Tinubu’s address will cover several critical issues, including sustainable development, climate change, global cooperation, and the imperative to address inequalities and global humanitarian crises.

Throughout the week, Tinubu is also set to participate in a high-level dialogue on financing for development, a high-level meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness, and Response, the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Ambition Summit, a high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage, and a high-level panel on reforming the global financial architecture.

Furthermore, Tinubu has planned several bilateral meetings with world leaders during the week, including the Presidents of the European Union Commission, Brazil, and South Africa.

On Friday, he will attend the high-level meeting on the fight against tuberculosis.
